There’s no question that if you’re not taking advantage of email marketing, you are putting yourself at a major competitive disadvantage. Why is this? Because when done correctly, there is virtually nothing that can match the amazing advantages that come with an email marketing campaign.
First, there’s the obvious benefit that mass mailings cost postage, while emails are free to send. There’s also the fact that emails are often more likely to be opened than actual mail. A good one line hook for the title will be enough to get the message opened and that gets you one step closer to a sale.
Another benefit of email marketing is you get your emails by asking for them from your website, your blog, or other articles. This means you’re getting emails of potential customers who are already pre-inclined to buy from you because they like your information, your writing style, and the information that you’re providing. This makes your holiday specials or online sales campaigns far more likely to succeed since you already have an ever-increasing list of customers who are already familiar with you and trust you.
Finally, the response rate is still tremendous no matter how many other changes take place. When they first came out banner ads received about a 50% click through rate but now are only around .01%. Email marketing still works, just like it did 10 years ago and 5 years ago. Very few online marketing techniques have this type of staying power, so don’t miss out!
